William Shakespeare (1564-1616) was a Master playwright and initiate of the Ageless Wisdom, who laid bare to contemporary Elizabethan and Jacobean audiences the manipulative, exploitative and devastating ways of the creation which we call ‘our world’.
Each and every scenario with its pre-scripted traps and tendrils deliberately constructed to keep us away from our magnificent origin and reduce us into a subjected heap of rubble or, worse, insidiously comfortably trapped in the apparently easeful existence of a false paradise, is clearly exposed on stage to awaken our observational awareness of the fact that we too have consented to play those very games – games in which there is no Love, no Brotherhood, no true joy – games in which everyone is a loser. Yes, accept the puppeteer’s proffered role . . . and play the game by all means, and the rewards and ease of creation’s living will come your way, but what price do you pay? ...

Lyndy Summerhaze, PhD, BA (University Medal), Dip.Mus.Ed (Conservatorium of Music, Sydney) studied English Literature at the University of Sydney in the 1970s and wrote her first books and journal articles on Alchemy and Renaissance English Literature in the 1980s and 90s.
